Leadership Experiences
Leadership is about creating opportunities for people to connect, contribute, and feel part of a community. Through my experiences in graduate student organizations, academic programs, and mentoring communities, I have learned to lead by listening to others, bringing people together, and turning ideas into programs that support the people around me.
Northwestern University
September 2022 - December 2023
I served as my cohort representative on the student council for the Driskill Graduate Program. I was responsible for organizing social events to bring the graduate student community together, and getting feedback from students on programming they would like to see.

October 2022 - Present
I'm currently a member of the board for CGSA. I'm responsible for serving graduate students through social, outreach, and support programs. In 2025, I received the Driskill Student Service Award, which recognizes exceptional service for the benefit of the program and other students.
Served as President from 2024-2026 and acting treasurer in 2025
September 2026 - Present
This program helped me in creating an initiative within my department centered around learning and teaching. Additionally, I served as a session leader for Northwestern's Academic Kickoff event, where I assisted with workshop planning and delivery.
Louisiana State University
September 2018 - May 2021
I served as an LSU Honors College Advocate, where I helped recruit high-achieving students to the Ogden Honors College program. I often spoke at recruitment days and served on information panels for current students, where I encouraged them to take advantage of the resources available in the Honor's College.
President 2020-2021
Member September 2018 - 2022
I served as President of Research Ambassadors and was an active member throughout my time at LSU. I helped educate and advise students on undergraduate research opportunities available at LSU through a multitude of means, including panels, tabling, and recruitment activities.
Fall Semester 2019
I served as a Peer Mentor for the College of Science, where I was responsible for student-teaching an introduction to science course at LSU. I helped design lesson plans, grade assignments, and advise students on success strategies for college coursework. I also served as a panelist for this course, where I talked about how I experienced science at LSU.
Member of LSU's Tiger 12
LSU's Tiger 12 cohort recognizes outstanding seniors who contribute positively to the life of the campus, surrounding community, and society. I am honored to have been selected as one of the Tiger 12 for my work focused on science communication and combatting misinformation.
Undergraduate Research Panelist
August 2020
I served on several panels as part of my role as an Undergraduate Research Ambassador. In this panel I discussed how to find a research mentor, balance schoolwork and research, and find mentoring and research styles that suit your interests.
Undergraduate Academic Programs
This program included a variety of training experiences to develop my writing, speaking, visual and technological communication skills. Through this program, I was able to showcase my experiences beyond the classroom that reflected my communication skills and professional narrative.
This program recognized the achievements of outstanding LSU undergraduates who participated in a track of educational and research activities. Through this program, I completed a final public presentation and published my faculty-mentored undergraduate scholarly project.
This program provided funds for me to conduct research on-campus at LSU. Responsibilities included designing an individual development plan and regular work in a research lab.
